Storefront privacy-policy language
How to use this. Paste the block below into your store's privacy policy (a “Third-party services” or “Fraud prevention” section is a natural home), or link to it from there. The block already uses this site's live URL (https://www.flokte.com). Keep the link to Flokte's Privacy Policy reachable from your policy.
Return-behaviour analysis. We use Flokte, a third-party service, to help prevent return fraud and abuse. Flokte receives your order history and return history from our store — including your name, email, and address as you provided them; order dates and amounts; and return dates, reasons, and outcomes. Within our store, Flokte may match your guest and account checkouts by email so your return history is assessed as one person.
Flokte uses this only to assess return-behaviour patterns for our store. It does not use it for advertising, does not combine it with data from other stores, and does not sell it. Based on this assessment, we may offer rewards to customers with good-faith return histories, or apply added checks (such as manual review of a return) to accounts with patterns consistent with return abuse. This is not a credit check and does not affect your credit.
No return restriction is applied automatically without human review, and every restriction comes with a stated reason and a way to contest it. To ask why a check was applied or to dispute one, see Flokte's "Why was I flagged?" page at https://www.flokte.com/for-shoppers, or contact us.
What this covers
- The categories of data Flokte receives from your store and the single purpose it is used for.
- That Flokte is a processor acting on your behalf — not an independent data aggregator or a cross-store blocklist.
- That within your store, guest and account checkouts may be linked by email.
- The human-review and dispute rights that attach to any restriction.
What you still need to do
- Acknowledge the in-app data-use disclosure before ingestion begins.
- Sign the Data Processing Agreement.
- Make sure your policy's “your rights” section points customers to a way to reach you with requests — Flokte routes shopper requests it receives back to you.
